There are chemicals involved in rubber processing like sulphur, zinc oxide, TMT, titanium, MBTS, minerals like calcium carbonate, carbon, processing oil called RPO or Rubber Processing Oil.  Ban-bury mixture, kneader machine, mixing mills, calendaring machine, extrude machine, hydraulic press, roto-cure, and cooling conditioner, are the machineries used in rubber processing machinery which also mixes all the ingredients together.  Rubber comes in two types namely natural and synthetic.

The rubber tree produces natural rubber.  The latex, which is the milk type of material leaking from the rubber tree, is processed for application.

Synthetic rubber is a product which is petroleum based.  Using content derived from crude oil with the addition of certain chemicals, synthetic rubber is manufactures here by means of industrial applications.  Synthetic rubber comes in many varieties.  These synthetic rubber can come in the form of Chloroprene (Neoprene), Silicone, EPDM, Fluoro-elastomer, nitrile, hypalon, and butyl.  All of these grades differ in terms of their application and specifications.

Oil, acid, alkali, hydrocarbons, and heat can all be resisted by Neoprene.

In very high temperatures, silicone can still be used.  Silicone can still be used up to 250 degree Celcius.

The type of rubber resistant to weather, temperature, aging, and radiation is EPDM.  Since EPDM rubber prevents water or liquid to pass through, then it is widely used in waterproof roofing, and canal and ponds living.

Nitrile or NBR sheets are used as gaskets for packing purposes since they are permeable to gases.

Viton or fluoroelastomer is resistant to a wide range of oils and solvents.  It has good abrasion and is resistant to tearing.  They can also bear high temperatures.

Today, rubber demand has increased greatly.  It is the revolution in the automobile sector that is responsible for the increase.  Tires are indispensable to automobiles.  The prices of natural and synthetic rubber are increasing every day, thanks to tire manufacturing.  In the entire rubber production in the world, the tire industry consumer 80 percent of it. There are other major rubber products we can find.  There is a wide usage of industrial rubber sheet for gaskets, packing, electrical insulation, and matting purposes.  The combination of natural and synthetic rubber are now being used to manufacture rubber sheets which come in colors like green, red, blue, and blue.  For industrial purposes, the black color if preferred.

Rubber sheet manufacturing uses different raw materials depending on its application.  for heat resistant purposes, silicone is used, and for acid and heat, they use neoprene, and other materials for other particular applications.

There are many other products from rubber aside from industrial rubber sheets, and these include hoses, mats, tires, condoms, medical equipment, oil seals, gaskets, yoga mats, conveyor belts, footwear, printing rollers, electrical insulation mats, and more. Click here to read more.
